Washington Square - Wish I had been there..

This park on the right is where Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas held their first of seven senatorial debates. Lincoln lost the election but then several years later became the President of the United States. They have several murals depicting the history of Ottawa...this is the one regarding the debate.
