When we were in Savannah, we left a card on the "Ithaka" because we saw a Great Circle Loop flag on their boat. We then talked by phone with them and emailed eachother a couple of times. They were the ones who told us about our favorite restaurant to date....the Cru Cafe in Charleston.
While in Waterford, I heard someone yell...Arundel....we're Ithaka...and there they were.....Chip and Michelle Harris, from Naples Florida. They immediately came over after they docked and what a wonderful, joyful couple they are....they are so enthusiastic about their cruise. They are stopping in Brewerston and leaving their boat for the winter and then coming back next summer to complete the loop. They have that wonderful happy feeling you really enjoy seeing in a couple; we loved being with them for a few days. They even saved our runaway"bad dingy". James untied it and was called away immediately for something else and didn't retie it well enough..........so when we came back from shopping, they had our dingy tied us on the back of their boat. They saw it floating down the river......and retrieved it. We drank wine and laughed about it all.
