Stop By for Coffee - Stay Awhile

When we were in Kingston NY, we met with James' friends, Capt. Bernie Jacobs and his wife Joan. They left the next day for Troy; we followed several hours later and stopped by Troy to have dinner with them before traveling on to Waterford.

They called the next morning on their way to the Champlain Canal and decided to stop by and have coffee with us. After coffee, they jumped on their boat...........and as we all know those great plans we make have a way of getting "delayed". Their boat wouldn't start......No Problem right.....Bernie and James climbed down in the engine room and came up sure it would work, everything was in place........but........next day, back down they went. Joan and I sat on our boat in the cool and comfort and solved the problems of the world, while they worked. They ended up having to call their relatives they were going to visit and they drove down to have dinner. The next day after many "cussings" the boat started and they finally got off. It was fun getting to know the two of them but we were sorry for their problems.
