After crossing under the 7 Mile Bridge at Marathon, and traveling for 31 days, 1287 miles, 17 days at transit slips, 3 days at free docks, 7 days at anchor, and 4 days on the ball, we are no longer going South. The 38 mile inside passage from Naples to Goodland had a little skinny water at times but we never ran aground (even when Rennie had the helm). From Goodland you have a 48 mile run outside in the Gulf to the Little Shark River anchorage. The seas were less than 1 ft. and the anchorage was calm, no Mosquito's and no, No See-ums. It doesn't get much better than that. Off at 6:45 for the 50 mile run to Marathon, same seas, and saw a lot of boats going every which way and the crab pots down here in the Key's are every where.
Rennie has a friend who lives down here, so we may stay a day or so to visit before we start North.
