Worth the Wait!!!

Two hours on a buggy ride was about all Taylor could handle for one day...so I left him to nap while I took another Horse-taxi to the Grand Hotel. They do not allow any motorized vehicles on the Island and even though it's a bit smelly at times, it's wonderful to be taken back in time. I spent several hours going through the Hotel. Did you know it's on the list of the best 100 hotels in the world. I didn't.... Did you know it has the longest porch of any hotel in the world....I didn't. I first spent time at their art show....called "Somewhere in Time". It was a group of portraits, a number of them have been exhibited at the National Gallery of Art in Washington and the Metropolitan Museum in of Art in New York. It's also the hotel in the movie "Somewhere in Time" which stared Christopher Reeves ....I knew that!!!!! but then most woman do... I walked the famous porch and sat down for a while to take it the great gardens and gaze at the Ester Williams Pool. The entire place was quite magical.
