We visited several more quaint towns....Frankfort Michigan. There we met a couple, Ed and Nancy Pierce, who had traveled from Texas (their home is in Spring Texas) to Michigan every summer for twelve years. Finally they decided since they loved Michigan so much, they now winter their boat here and fly back and forth. We anchored out in a town called Pentwater....breathless scenery.....
All along the coast there were beautiful sand dunes. One place called Sleeping Bear National Park had dunes 480 ft high. I grew up in Virginia and we had sand dunes but really, nothing like this place.
