We hated leaving this state....it was a wonderful adventure from beginning to end. Oswego had one more "lock" which we had to go through and I laughed because they had a problem and it wouldn't fill up with water. It took them almost an hour to get it fixed. I felt as though my Dad were with me on this one....telling me to take one more look at the city where he was born. One of those throat catching moments that makes you smile. We were off to Canada and looking forward to the next great "lock adventure" on the Trent-Severn. I know I said there wasn't much to say about locks but looking back...the people who work the locks have all been so nice and friendly.....and each lock had flowers all along the sides.
