Unexpected visit with friends May 23rd

On the way to St. Augustine, we felt the port engine vibrating so James turned that engine off and we limped along with only one engine. He made a few calls to friends looking for a good repair man to look at it. We got in touch with Barry & Barbara Kipnis, who along with their friends Jim and Danette Potochick, dinged to the ICW and directed us to the Potochick guest dock. They insisted we stay there and let their mechanic come by the next day and look at it. As it was Memorial Day Weekend we were really appreciative, since we had called St. Augustine and the Marinas were all full. Not a bad place to stay....pool, jacuzzi, electric, water, cable.......who could ask for more? The mechanic came by the next day and he had it fixed in two days. James stayed with the boat while I drove to St. Augustine to visit with my friend Harriett. We made it to a few shops (that's always fun). James came by one night as Harriett is an excellent chef (two mother-in-laws who were Italian). All in all, for all the boat problems, it was a good time.
I did ask Harriett to take me to her hairdresser there as I had chopped on my hair for a week or so. The lady I was put with was a sweet lady who was a throw back from the 60's. Very Bohemian. We were chatting about the wonderful wildlife on the water and how much fun they are to watch. I told her I needed my hair cut for the "boatlife" but I do believe she thought I said to cut it for the "wildlife". Let's just say, I look very similar to a "porcupine"....although James did say I was a "cute porcupine".
