We arrived in Alton, Ill. and friends Norman and Connie, came over to go to dinner with us. There's a place there well known among the "boating world" called Fast Eddie's. It's a very popular place with the locals also....food is excellent....and believe it or not...everything is $1.00....hamburgers, shrimp, pork....I certainly wasn't expecting it to be good but it really was. it's a lively place and we saw many of the boaters at our Marina there. Also, while at Fast Eddie's they had a picture of the World's Tallest Man.....8ft. 11inch. who was born in Alton.
