I wasn't really prepared for the beauty of this small quaint Island. Mackinac Island was so clean and the sight of so many flowers and gardens just overwhelmed me. They don't just have Lilac brushes, they have lilac trees. It was the time of year when not so many tourist were there so it made roaming the town easy. We went for a ride on a horse-drawn buggy which took us over the whole island. That was about as much "sight-seeing" as Taylor could handle so while he had his afternoon nap, I hopped on a horse-taxi and went up to the Grand Hotel......
